I love historic cities, they show me every time more and more that details make the difference. On today's post I'll show you guys a bit of Milan, and on the next post I'll show about Paris, that became one of my favorite cities <3
I stayed in Milan like a week, but actually I didn't have time to see the city because I was running up and down everyday for Fashion Week. On my free time between castings and shows I took some pictures, and also while driving on the car.
I could check a bit of the cathedral Duomo de Milano, that is one of the most detailed places I've even seen, I wanted so much to check inside, but I didn't have enough time :(
And here a few pictures of Milan!

Lindo não é mesmo? Breve o post de Paris!

So beautiful right? Soon the post about Paris!

Fashion Weeks have a lot of glamour, wonderful runway shows, trends, famous people and of course, hard work. Most of the people have no idea how is all that behind the scenes, in backstage, castings and fittings. Not until now, because I'll tell you guys everything!
Before any the shows start there are the castings, that are made for the clients/brands to choose the models they want for their show. That's when the model's stress starts, doing 6 to 15 castings a day, running up and down trying to do all of them on time and find time to eat, which doesn't really happen.
You go into a casting and sometimes theres 70 girls in front of you, then you wait forever, and ever, and ever...
Sometimes you keep thinking they liked you, or they hated, and you put that emotional pressure on yourself to be better next time or think "OMG I just lost the chance of my life, I'm so dumb!".  Life of u
ncertainties.
Then after comes the options, the "maybe" of the clients on you for the shows. This "maybe" kills us.
Sometimes the maybe turns into a fitting, then if they like you, you are in, if they don't it's just one more no for the many daily "no's".
The fittings to confirm are the worst ones! I did one that people were speaking italian but I understood each word that they were saying with no exception: "I think you should put this dress in a skinnier girl, because if I redo this I have to redo the whole dress.", that's what one of the
seamstresses of the brand said. And everybody was really smart, always asking models if they understand/speak their language, so they can say bad things about us thinking we will never understand, but I understand even Japanese.
Gizele with no food is one of the worst Gizeles that exist. Once I was in a backstage with a lot of food, I was waiting to finish the hair to eat, then get my make up done. I put my sandwiches and fruits in a plate, started to eat and they told me to eat while I was doing the make up. Was so delicious the food with primer taste. Nobody thinks that its the only time we have to eat the whole day, or maybe until nighttime.
Sometimes there was no food at all. There was a show that I couldn't believe, they just had water and green bananas from 7am to 2pm, and you couldn't go out and buy your own food.
And the show's shoes? I don't even need to talk about it right? Of course there are exceptions, but our feet just looks amazingly horrible after every week.
And the hair? The one that suffers the most. I did a show that they put extensions in my head with glue, that was never coming off. The other one they put the whole pot of ointment and I had to wash more than 40 times and the oil still didn't come out, I had to buy dry shampoo and use the whole thing to make it look ok because was so hard to find anti residue shampoo.
One of the worst things was after some shows (specially the big ones), the photographers and friends of the stylists were coming in the backstage and taking pictures and doing videos with the models are changing. Nobody cares.
And when one fashion week was over everybody was running to the next city, straight to
castings, with no rest after hours flying with no sleep. Sometimes I was sleeping on the castings of doing make up and hair.
Other things that made me really stressed was the language barrier, that I could understand but not ask anything. And the mean people on the streets, being rude for no reason.
But in the end was worth every bad moment, the ones that I wanted to cry or that I was so angry, because after the fashion week everybody gets to know you: Stylists, brands, photographers, casting directors and more.
I for example, realized my dream of being part of the show of one of my fave brands  <3
And my question is, do you still want to be a model? hahah Read this post is easy, but real life is worst than you guys think.
And on the top some pictures of my favorite shows I did around the fashion month!
